I finished comparing the lesbians and the heteros around 3:15 this morning, after half a pot of coffee had been digested, as well as a grilled cheese on wheat bread. Tip toes were made around the apartment, over my semi-clean floor, around the maze of people and sleeping necessities in the living room, and into the kitchen multiple times in order to refill my little red cup. My brain let me sleep at around 4, after visions of Carmen de la Pica Morales and Bette Porter had finished tap dancing their way through my head. At 8, the final countdown came blaring out of my phone and I contemplated hitting snooze and sleeping for another hour, but then I remembered the zombie storyboards and how I need to type up the shooting schedule and shot list so we can film this weekend. I cut the feminists out of my paper, made them disappear by throwing them into a top hat along with a rabbit. Where did they go? It's magic. At eight thirteen, the themesong from The OC started playing. Molly was calling to tell me her key got stuck in the door. I didn't understand. The door? To our apartment. Oh. The front door? Yeah, the front door. The door downstairs? No, upstairs. The one to our apartment. Oh. I'll get it. Okay. Because I tried, but people were sleeping and it made too much noise. People are still sleeping? Yes. Okay. Then I'll get it. How are you going to get back inside? I don't know. But I got the key out of the door and I put it somewhere in Molly's room. I had an "I want to go to Europe" moment the other day, craving bits of Barcelona and Prague. I haven't seen enough of the world. Not even close. I need to fill up my Facebook maps.
Quotes remind me of people.
“I think there's something peculiar about me that I haven't died. It doesn't make sense but I refuse to die.” ~Judy Garland. That one reminds me of Jocelyn. Don't know why. Jocelyn's a stubborn girl, an April only-child like myself, but more determined and also blonde.
“People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.” ~Audrey Hepburn. Morgan. Because she never throws anyone away.
"There are many things in your heart you can never tell to another person. They are you, your private joys and sorrows, and you can never tell them. You cheapen yourself, the inside of yourself, when you tell them." ~Greta Garbo. Chess. Because I don't think I've hit something I haven't been able to tell her yet.
“Joey : Pheebs, you wanna help?
Phoebe : Oh, I wish I could, but I really don't want to.” ~Friends. Becca. Because she appreciates the show just as much as I do. And loves it a little too much. Just like I do.
"For beautiful eyes look for the good in others, for beautiful lips speak only words of kindness, and for poise walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."~Audrey Hepburn. Rachel. Because she's a geniunely nice person and beautiful inside and out.
This entry was longer than I expected. Time for zombies.
Poker Face is about bisexuality. Ahh! They're everywhere! The queers are everywhere!

1. I kind of miss the 02360. "Homes" are now the 02114 (Bean) and 02694 (Mashpee). Oh two six nine four? What? No. Too hard to memorize. The dorms in LA are located (I think) in 90068. THAT DOESN'T START WITH A ZERO. The only place I lived that doesn't start with a zero was the Netherlands, which is different because it's a whole other coding system. Plus, I just refer to that home as "the castle." I don't know how I feel about things that start with nine.
2. I have to give two presentations on Monday. Which means I'm going to be nervous the whole damn day.
3. Out of curiosity, I counted things on my bookshelves. Ninety three movies on DVD, sixty three seasons of television on DVD, fifty two movies on VHS. I gave up trying to count books. That's a lie. I just didn't want to count anymore.
4. I email/Facebook too much.
5. How do you get to know someone without seeming creepy?

One of Allison's friends has started using the term "Gays and Friends" instead of "the LGBT(Q) community" because it's easier to remember and easier to say (three syllables as opposed to nine). I'm writing my paper proposal for Queer Film and Video and I had to stop myself from writing "gays and friends" because it almost slipped out.
Also, we watched Survivor in TV class yesterday and when I came home, I told Molly that there should be an all queer cast one season, and she started talking about how you could separate the people, that transgenders could be in the middle, and then started talking about how all the people should be black (keep in mind that Molly is pale with freckles and red hair...and she somehow slipped into a weird Southern accent while talking) and that it'd be an island full of different sexualities and religions. "We could call it" (big sweeping hand gesture) "AFRICA!"
"They like both sides!"
"What? That's what a bisexual is, Molly. Not a transgender."
"No, that's not what I meant! They understand both sides. So they could be in the middle."
"You'd have the African American Africans and then the Native American Africans and then the Muslims...and the Native Africans. Hm. What could we call them?"
"Africans?"
"And they'd all be black!"
"Molly, go back into your room and shut the door and let me finish watching I Love Money 2."

Today was weird. Watched kind of an odd movie in the first class, had a discussion that made me feel weird in the second (plus someone in the class doesn't value other opinions and I had to hold my friend back from punching said person in the face), then went to a meeting about LA, which is weird. And then hours of Fashion Society stuff.
I don't know.
I don't know.

There was a little bit of drama, but other than that, the week is off to a good start.

Paper #1:

Paper #2:

Additionally, my friend Sarah has the same Media Criticism and Theory professor I had last semester (I have the professor this semester, too, and that's the class paper #1 was for), and today she told me that he used my Textual Analysis paper as an example and talked about it to their class a few times. Plus, I have an idea for my historical analysis final paper for QF&V and had it approved and now I just have to write the 1500 word proposal.
Studying for the stupid Video Field Production quiz is not allowing me to work on things I actually want to work on. I had classes from 2-6pm, Fashion Society stuff from 6-11pm, I just had a giant mug of apple tea and now I get to study for field. WHICH I DON'T WANT TO DO.

Yesterday, a group of people called me an emu, which I looked up on google, and it is a bird that can't fly, so they were wrong, because I can fly.

Emerson has cancelled school because of the snow and Allison and I are the only two Emersonians that are unhappy about it. I love my Monday/Wednesday schedule! I don't start until 2 and I have my two seminars back to back, and my professors are great and the classes are interesting. Cancel class tomorrow! Wah. :(
Also, this thing won't let Jessa comment. TODAY IS JUST BAD.
I'm going to spend the day reading for classes, finishing S1 of Lost, (re)reading the third Twilight book, memorizing some Spanish, playing Wii Fit, and pouting.
